Hero Electric's Electrifying Return: Exploring the Latest Electric Two-Wheelers in Nepal

Hero Electric has made a comeback in Nepal with the launch of three different electric two-wheeler models in the domestic market. The official distributor of Hero Electric for Nepal is currently operating a showroom in Tripureshwor, Kathmandu, and plans to expand its dealer network across the country shortly.

Hero Electric has three models to choose from:


1. Photon HX priced at Rs 249,600

2. NYX HX priced at Rs 284,600

3. Optima HX single battery at Rs 29,600 and double battery at Rs 39,600.


Among the three scooters, the Photon HX is equipped with a 72-volt / 26-ampere-hour lithium-ion battery and a 1,200-watt DC motor. The company claims that it can cover 108 kilometers once fully charged. It will take 5 hours to fully charge the scooter, and the maximum speed is 45 kilometers per hour. The scooter also has a regenerative braking system.

The NYX HX is equipped with two lithium-ion batteries of 51.2 volts / 30 amp-hours and a 600-watt BLDC motor. The company claims that it can cover 165 kilometers once fully charged. It will take 4 to 5 hours to fully charge the scooter, and the maximum speed is 42 kilometers per hour. The scooter also has a regenerative braking system.



The Optima HX 52.12 volts / 30 amps is available in both single and dual battery options. The scooter is equipped with a 550-watt BLDC motor with a peak power of 1,200 watts. The company claims that the single battery will give a range of 82 kilometers, and the dual battery will give a range of 122 kilometers once the scooter is fully charged. It will take 4 to 5 hours to fully charge the scooter, and the maximum speed is 42 kilometers per hour. The scooter is provided with a regenerative braking system.
